Islander Comes Full Circle and Returns to Serve Community
James Anderson grew up on Orcas Island. After setting off to experience the world, James ended up calling Orange County, California, home. But California never really felt like home, and James would bring his family back to the islands as often as possible over the last 10+ years. His love of island life and for the community he grew up in was the driving factor for relocating his family back to Orcas Island last August. James and his wife, Gina, have three children and couldn’t be more excited to continue raising them in the community.
James served in the United States Air Force and holds a BS in Management and an MBA with an emphasis in Marketing from Park University. During his time at Stanford University, he studied strategic decision-making and risk management.
James attributes his personal and professional growth to many of his high school coaches, such as Dennis Dahl, Mike Gage, Steff Steinhorst, and Mike Parnell. “I have learned some hard lessons and some lifelong lessons from these great men of Orcas Island,” says Anderson.
James has over 20 years of experience specializing in operations in the single-family and multi-family real estate space. He has managed over 25,000 units in his career and has had the pleasure of working for a Top 10 Fortune 100 company while learning from the best and brightest leaders in the business world.
Gina has over 15 years of management experience specializing in banking, finance, accounting, organizational behavior, and customer service. She prides herself on being extremely organized and efficient, while her keen attention to detail allows her to continually exceed client expectations.
The husband and wife team is excited to offer their expertise to the islands through Madrona Pacific Properties. A boutique vacation rental management company, Madrona Pacific provides competitive advantages in short-term rental experience, utilize a superior technology platform supported by a Best-In-Class software solution company, as well as offering a better Return on Investment to homeowners with the lowest commissions in the San Juan Islands. “We want to offer a personalized experience and guide our clients, step-by-step, in preparing their home for guests,” says Anderson. “We offer home organization and decluttering evaluations at no cost to the homeowner. Our goal is to balance the need for short-term housing and the economic impact it offers with the community’s desire to maintain our serene way of living.”
